Started in 2008 by entrepreneur David Cupido, DC Accounting was created to speak to the very specific professional needs of entrepreneurs moving into growth lifecycles.

We provide professional accredited accounting solutions, financial analysis and advisory services – all with the aim of unlocking sustainable growth.

Based in Hermanus in the Western Cape, we’re committed to adding value beyond “score keeping” and compliance, providing financial analysis and advice that improves your decision-making to increase profitability and cashflow.

Founder and CEO

Hello! My name is David Cupido. I founded DC Accounting based on my passion for entrepreneurship. From an early age, I’ve been committed to assisting small businesses to maximise their profits and become sustainable enterprises within their communities. I want them to succeed. I have over 20 years’ corporate experience in the financial space and am a member of the South African Institute of Professional Accountants (SAIPA). I am also registered with SARS as a Tax Practitioner (PR-0016880).

Bongiwe Maqolo

Assistant

My name is Bongiwe Maqole. I am an assistant at DC Accounting – focusing on accounting and tax matters. I have a BComm degree from the University of the Western Cape and am currently completing a course as a tax practitioner. I enjoy leveraging technology to complete my tasks more efficiently.

Curtley Deelman

Assistant

Hello! I’m Curtley – an assistant at DC Accounting. I have a National Diploma in office management and technology from the Cape Peninsula University of Technology. I am also completing a tax practitioner course, incorporating this learning into my accounting and tax work for our clients.
